The independent asset manager manages the wealth of his customers and advises them on all their financial needs. As a member of the Swiss Association of Asset Managers (SAAM), self-regulatory organization recognized by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), the independent manager undertakes to comply with a code of conduct, on which he is audited. This gives you the assurance of high quality services, a guarantee of long-term partnership and mutual trust.
The asset management is practiced in an independent way, according to the convictions of the asset manager, avoiding any third party influence. Recommendations are thus more exhaustive and covering a much broader range.
The independent asset manager acts on a mandate and in the name of the customer. The assets of the customer are deposited in a bank account under his name, opened in a depository bank of his choice.
Currently one counts more than 3000 independent managers in Switzerland. This sector is in strong expansion, with market shares which continue to grow despite overregulation, passing from approximately 4% in 1990 to more than 15% of the total assets currently managed in Switzerland.
